What is Wildcrafting?

Wildcrafting is the activity of foraging for wild edibles and medicines in the bush. Prior to the invention of agriculture most human civilization relied on this activity for sustenance, and today for health and economic reasons it is experiencing a revival. The edible world surrounds us, this site will help you take advantage.

How does this site work?

Anyone can browse this site to learn about wild edibles and where to find them. Once you register (free) you can also submit new edibles, submit your own pictures of edibles, mark locations on a map for your own private use, mark map locations for public sharing, share locations with a friend, vote and comment on marked locations, and more. This site exists as an addition to the Wilderness Survival Forums and the registration process is shared. Once you register at the forums you are registered here and can enjoy all the free features this site offers. Go get registered today!

As a private diary... Use this site to organize your own list of known locations for foraging, if you make all your markings private, only you can see them.
As a mutually beneficial community... Use this site to add locations you find and get locations others find, to help everyone be a better forager.
